CAUGHT IN A CORNERPIECE

Installation / Performance | 1996 - 2007

In this installation-performance, I attempted to create a "Cornerpiece" by physically painting myself into the corner of my New York studio. The act of painting oneself into a corner—a phrase often associated with being trapped—became literal, blurring the lines between artist, subject, and artwork.

The performance reflects on themes of constraint, self-imposed boundaries, and the tension between creative freedom and limitation.
